One of my goals in my Life's Mission Statement is to deal with my weight. I have had some difficulty with the eating portion of that plan (I seem to "eating" a lot of "portions" lately). I am not going to get discouraged, however, because, I know Rome wasn't built in one day and I understand this is a process and will take some work. I know this will get better once the school year starts and I am on a regular eating schedule. I have devised a plan for the school year with my son and his girlfriend (they will be living with me this year)so we can all eat and live healthier - in the mean time, I am working on other parts of my LMS.
I feel very confident about most of my life's mission statement, but the one aspect of it that will be my mountain to climb is taking care of myself so I can take care of others. To do this, I feel I need to reach a desirable weight and commit to routine exercise. It seems like I let roadblocks--oops, I mean inconveniences--get in my way. I have a good friend who is losing weight, and she has given me many useful tips and food choice ideas. I WILL make a list of some of those great ideas and I WILL post encouraging words on my bathroom mirror for a daily reminder. I know that I can't take care of others if I myself don't feel good!
